Scientific Department Council... Directing tasks and work objectives.
The Council of the First Grade Teachers Department, one of the scientific departments in our generous college, held its sixth regular meeting/first section on this blessed Ramadan day, Sunday, corresponding to: 22/2/2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Abdul Ali, and chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aweid Muhammad Al-Sayer, Head of the Department and Chairman of the Council, in the presence of all members of the Council.
The Chairman of the Council began by welcoming the Dean of the College as a beloved and friendly guest to the department and all its members. He also congratulated everyone on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, may God return it to us and to you with goodness, blessings, and acceptance of our acts of worship.
The Dean of the College then began his speech to the Council by praising the scientific efforts made by everyone to enable the College to achieve its current level of excellence and presence among the faculties of the University and similar faculties in other Iraqi universities. He also spoke at length about the research teams and their appropriate organizational structure, and followed up on the instructions of the university presidency regarding the team's follow-up on the publication of scientific research.
The dean then left the council, leaving the attendees to complete their agenda, which included:
Presenting the instructions of the esteemed university president and adhering to them strictly, especially regarding scientific agreements, the conduct of university professors, and their modest dress among students. The attendees then presented the instructions of the esteemed dean of the college and the instructions of the department chair, the most important points of which were:
1. Continuing to conduct first-stage exams in an optimal and accurate manner.
2. Confirming the impact of scientific committees in the scientific department and activating their powers in an effective and purposeful manner.
3. Follow up on the scientific promotions of the department's professors according to their seniority and scientific merit.
4. Discuss the issue of internationalizing the scientific department's staff with scientists from reputable Arab and international universities.
5. Encourage distinguished teachers to publish educational and pedagogical videos on interactive platforms for each scientific subject.
6. Set the exam schedule for the first month of the second semester for second-year students.
In addition to the rest of the session's work, which ended with a wealth of discussion and opinion, and a greater insistence on excellence and superiority in work, effort, and results.
