A blessed Ramadan day in which fasting and resurrection are blessed and prayers are answered for our dear children and students everywhere with a good family upbringing, Wednesday, 5 Ramadan 1446 AH.
A beautiful scientific day with good assimilation of the curriculum and integration of its results in application, work and science, in the face of terrorism of all kinds, Wednesday, 5/3/2025.
The requirements were met and adorned with splendour and impact when the College of Basic Education (Haditha), in implementation of the counter-terrorism strategy for the year 2025 and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mazhar Abd Ali, Dean of the College, held the scientific intellectual awareness seminar entitled: (Family upbringing and curriculum review and their impact in confronting terrorism).
At eleven o'clock in the morning in the central hall for conferences and seminars, the first lecturer and director of the symposium, Prof. Muhammad Awaid Muhammad Al-Sayer / Department of First Grades Teacher / announced the start of the symposium by introducing the concept of upbringing, types of upbringing and how it is compatible with school curricula and confronting terrorism. Then the word and time was given to the first research study presented by Sheikh Dr Bassem Sabah Musa Al-Obeidi / Upper Euphrates Endowments Directorate, in which he spoke to the honourable attendees about:
1. Upbringing in the social concept.
2. Upbringing in the religious and sharia concept.
3. Methods of proper upbringing for the individual, especially in the stages of childhood.
4. Obstacles to proper upbringing among individuals and societies, especially in Arab countries.
After the Sheikh completed his speech and research, the floor and time went to the author of the second research study, who is also a guest of the college, Assistant Lecturer Essam Habib Hassan / Department of Modern Education / in which he spoke about :
1. The curriculum and its inclusion of scientific material, activities and events that serve the educational and educational process.
2. Developing curricula away from all sources and types of terrorism.
3. The relationship between curricula and ways to confront intellectual and scientific terrorism and warn students against it.
4. Guidelines in the application of curricula that optimise work, effort and results.
5. Objectives of the curricula and means of reaching them in a practical and scientific manner.
The symposium had a good attendance and various interventions that enriched the two studies and opened the doors of other titles for the expanded work of such symposiums. The Honourable Dean of the College thanked the two distinguished guests for everything they presented and strongly urged the students to benefit from the symposium and its results, which concluded as follows:
1. How to find the means of sound family upbringing at home and among children.
2. Building the child an educational family structure before entering the fields of science and study.
3. Keeping up with the great development in the curricula in schools and universities and adapting them to the socio-educational reality of the country.
4. Achieving the objectives of scientific and sustainable development curricula, and the feasibility of these objectives in individuals, organisations and societies.
5. Holding more such seminars and forums to introduce and emphasise the methods of proper family upbringing, and spread them among the families of society to create the new leader in all aspects of life.
Certificates of appreciation for the two guests and expressions of thanks and praise were the conclusion of this seminar, and what a very good conclusion it was.
