College of Basic Education \Haditha holds a seminar on internet addiction
In response to the university's affirmation to organise activities and events aimed at protecting society from the spread of negative phenomena.
Under the guidance of the Deanship of the College of Basic Education, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr Mazhar Abdul Ali, the Psychological Guidance and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit and the Human Rights Unit in our college, held a scientific seminar on this Monday, 2025/4/14 for the morning study students entitled (the phenomenon of suicide among young people, causes and treatment) in the hall of Prof. Dr Rashid Khalil Zaher.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Awaid Muhammad first welcomed the attendees and then gave a brief idea about the phenomenon of drugs, then the first axis was addressed by teacher Muhammad Hamid Muhammad, in which he gave a brief idea about the phenomenon of suicide and the causes in terms of psychological, environmental and social aspects with clarifying the percentages of each cause as well as how to treat it.
Dr Yacoub Youssef Ahmed addressed the second axis, which included a complete detail supported by verses and ahadiths about the phenomenon of suicide and treatment methods.
Finally, the seminar concluded with an interactive session in which the speakers encouraged the audience to share their thoughts and opinions on the topics raised, stressing the importance of such events that promote and spread awareness of their importance in our culture and identity.
