Professor Dr Halim Hammad Suleiman, a faculty member at the Department of Arabic Language, held a workshop on Monday, 10-3-2025: 10-3-2025, an intellectual scientific workshop on: (Professional Development in the Fields of Humanities), in collaboration with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at our college
The honourable lecturer spoke through the workshop's research paper about the interest in developing teachers administratively for several reasons, the most important of which are
1_ Knowledge explosion and continuous knowledge change
2_ Communication and information technology
3_ Changes in the educational environment, especially the development of the curriculum
The lecturer talked about the most important objectives of professional development, including
Raising the level of teachers' skills
Giving teachers the skills to deal with learning and teaching technology
Developing teachers' administrative and leadership capacity
And deepening the commitment to the ethics of learning and teaching
The lecturer addressed the pillars of professional development, including
Learning for knowledge, learning for teamwork, learning for personal development, and learning to understand others.
The lecturer mentioned the professional development in our college by paying attention to pedagogical and psychological subjects, observation and teaching methods, as well as the classroom application in schools.
