College of Basic Education in Haditha holds a seminar on combating narcotics
In response to the university's affirmation that provides for the organisation of activities and events aimed at protecting society from the white poison, and under the guidance of the Deanship of the College of Basic Education / Modern, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Abdul Ali, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit in our college held a scientific seminar on this Monday, 3/2/2025 for evening study students entitled (Combating drug crimes under the law on the prevention of drugs and psychotropic substances), on this day, Monday, 3/2/2025 In the conference and seminar hall.
The seminar was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr Ahmed Rajab Mohammed, who started the seminar by welcoming all attendees and then delivered his lecture, in which he explained the ‘Sharia ruling that prohibits the use, sale and purchase of drugs and what is spread in the markets of drinks that contain a percentage of drugs’.
Then he was followed by Dr. Dr Atheer Walid Tawfiq delivered a lecture on the ‘Legal Axis’, in which he explained ‘the severe penalties that apply to those who work in the sale, purchase and promotion of drugs, and the most prominent legal articles that face addicts and users’.
After that, A. M. Dr Malaz Abdulmuttalib Hamed delivered his lecture, in which he addressed (the psychological axis) and the consequences of addiction on the psychological state and explained ‘the impact of drugs, the difference between users and addicts, the stages of addiction and the steps of drug treatment’
